The 1205 is a little different from a standard steel self-aligning bearing.
The bearing uses ceramic rings and ceramic balls, with a PTFE cage. The ceramic version is mainly considered when a normal steel bearing is not a good fit for the working conditions. The self-aligning design also gives the bearing some room to deal with small alignment errors during installation.

Full Ceramic or Steel?
The main reason to choose this version is not simply that ceramic is "stronger."
It is about the working conditions.
Ceramic does not have the same behavior as ordinary bearing steel. It is not affected by rust in the same way, and ceramic is also electrically insulating.
That makes a full ceramic bearing worth considering when corrosion or electrical conductivity is a concern.
If the machine works in a normal dry environment and cost is the main concern, a standard steel bearing may still be the more practical choice.
Why the Self-Aligning Structure Matters
A small amount of misalignment can happen between the shaft and housing during installation.
A self-aligning bearing can compensate for this to a certain degree.
This does not mean the shaft or housing can be badly misaligned. It simply gives the bearing some flexibility when the two parts are not perfectly in line.

No. The listed version is a full ceramic self-aligning bearing. The rings and balls are ceramic, rather than only replacing the steel balls with ceramic balls.
2. Can I choose between Si₃N₄ and ZrO₂?

3. Does the ceramic material mean the bearing cannot break?
No.
